So last night I decided to come see what all the hype was about this Habit Burger and needless to say I was neither disappointed nor impressed by what they had to offer me. Don't get me wrong everything was good but nothing blew me away, it seems these burger chains are basically all the same but what I liked about Habit Burger was the prices. Found it to be very reasonable and added an extra star because of it! We came around 8:30PM and there was a short line, while I waited I looked at reviews and looked over the menu and decided on the char burger but added bacon and avocado to it. They do not skimp on additions to your burger which was nice, it was loaded with avocado chunks. I also ordered the sweet potato fries and an order of onion rings. The sweet potato fries could of been fried a little bit longer and were a bit soggy but still good over all. The onion rings had a very different coating then I'm used to having, very crunchy and not greasy which is a plus. The burgers are charbroiled which produces a less greasy healthier burger. They offer you the option of a lettuce wrapped burger instead of a bun which is a nice alternative. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff is very helpful and give great suggestions. I really liked that the man who called my pager checked the entire order before letting me take it to ensure everything was correct. More places need to do this to avoid unhappy customers. All in all I will be back for more! Keep up the good work!

Loved the decor, the food, the service, the prices --- everything about this place. My fiance and I had been wanting to try this place since it opened and we finally got a chance to on a Thursday night. The menu is pretty basic, they have a selection of burgers, sandwiches, salads and sides. They also have shakes and ice cream (for $1!). We both got the terriyaki burger, which was good but very messy due to the sauce. I've never had pineapple on a burger before and it was a very interesting taste, it definitely added more flavor to the burger. We also ordered fries and onion rings and I suggest getting the fries over the rings. They were perfectly crispy and salted. I also liked that there was someone constantly cleaning up tables and making sure everything on the floor was running smooth. It's definitely a great place to bring your family (the prices are definitely family friendly and they offer a kids menu as well) or if you want to grab a burger with friends. The prices are also very good. We paid about $14 for our meal which was awesome. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the area.

After a hiatus due to plenty of blogging jersey food spots and no elite after years still, I am back after this crappy winter.. I was told to check this spot out and was pleasantly surprised. Most places don't have charbroiled burgers anymore so that's a win in itself. It's healthier, less greasy and it was very fair priced for this area. We got 2 burgers, an order of fries, an order of onion rings, a soda and a milk shake all for about 20 bucks! I was in shock at the prices, but now for the food. It was actually really good, so good I went a few days later and checked out the other habit in fair lawn (read next review). Very clean restaurant, friendly staff, ample seating. Win..

We've been waiting for this place to open for weeks!! My boyfriend has been to the one in Fair Lawn and raved about how good the food is, so tonight we went for dinner. It is situated in the middle of an empty new strip mall right off route 4. We walked in to a short line, above the registers was a brightly lit sign to "Respect the Burger". Cute, I thought. We each ordered the charburger meal and split an order of onion rings. Our food was ready in under 5 minutes, the burgers snuggly wrapped and invitingly peaking out from one side of the wrapper. I'll begin with the fries: good, lightly salted and actually tasted like potato. Onion rings: disappointing. They look delicious- golden brown, crispy, not greasy. But the onion to bread ratio was not even a fair fight. The breading was so thick, and the onions so thinly sliced, that I honestly couldn't taste the onion. I ate one; that was enough for me. Now we get to 'respect'. I unwrapped my burger and took a healthy bite. I taste lettuce, mayo, pickles and bread. Um....Ok...where is the meat? Bite #2, same thing. I cleverly took my third bite from a different angle....and got the same flipping result!! I pause here to say the bread was nicely toasted and had good flavor. It wasn't until my 4th bite - yes FOURTH- that my teeth touched the burger. The patty was thinner than a typical fast food burger (which I could have gotten right across the street & saved some money). The buns are good, as are the pickles, cheese and mayo. On the way out I ordered a chocolate shake, which I savor as I write this review. Overall, I expected a MUCH better burger, especially from a place that greets you with a brightly-lit "Respect the burger" sign. I find it difficult to respect what Is barely there for me to experience. 1 star for the shake, 1 for the fries and awesome pickles.

Walking past by Habit Grill, my husband and I decided to try this place out. The staff was very helpful. We tried some refreshing drink (melon, lemon, strawberry) and it was good. The staff was super friendly and one of which stopped by to check if we liked the food. The menu items are affordable and the quality of food was super. I tried chicken burger and my husband tried char burger which came with fries and drink! Will visit again!

Never been to one of these places but from what I gathered from their marketing they're a chain from Cali. Got the Santa Barbara burger in the lettuce wrap, with onion rings, and a chocolate shake. Needless to say I was beyond full after eating all this. The food was pretty awesome. It was fresh, prepared well and not too greasy. Onion rings weren't greasy at all, actually. They clearly know how to fry food. Not too often that you get fried stuff that is fried right. I really liked that next to their soda machine they had a little "side bar" (if you will) where you could pick a few different types of fresh peppers to put on your food, a pretty decent selection of hot sauces, AND lemon or lime slices for your drink. Very nice touch, I must say. The lettuce wrap was a nice alternative to your classic bun, especially if you want to pretend you're being a little healthier while you're eating a burger, shake and onion rings. Oh yeah, the shake was solid too. Not amazing, but definitely not bad. They could also make it a malt if that's your thing and want to pretend it's the 50's again. They had some other side alternatives to your basic fries and onion rings which is nice to see at the fast food joint. They had sweet potato fries (which you typically only see at restaurants or diners) tempura green beans, and one other things I can't remember right now. The inside reminded me of a smash burger or nicer five guys. The decor and interior is pretty nice which makes a little less of a fast food joint and more of a sit down restaurant. Would def. recommend and come back.
